Meet Natalie Cañizares
She’s the witty girlfriend, the funny best friend, the quirky lovable gal, or the rookie cop who’s determined to be taken seriously.
Originally from Chicago, Natalie started her performance career as a dancer. After attending the Chicago Academy for the Arts where she studied Ballet, Modern, and Jazz she continued onto the University of North Carolina School of the Arts in Winston-Salem to receive her BFA in dance. Upon Graduating Natalie received the Kenan Fellowship at the Lincoln Center Institute in New York City. Throughout her time in NYC she performed her own original work at the Rose Theater at the Lincoln Center along with various other theaters around the city. She was cast in a Vanity Fair video to play a 1950’s dancer and fell in love with being on set.
Since moving to Los Angeles Natalie has immersed herself in comedy and improvisation. She has completed the Core Track at The Groundlings Theater, passing Advanced Improv, and has completed the training program at the Upright Citizens Brigade. Natalie has worked on various commercials, T.V. mini-series (including a series she co-created for Firework T.V.), short films, new media, and feature films.
