Kale Chips!

One of the best ways to upgrade your diet is to limit the amount of food you eat that comes out of a package. This includes all of those "healthy" and tempting snacks in your favorite natural foods market. Of course moderation is key and sometimes we can't avoid eating packaged foods. But there is no doubt in my mind that the less processed and handled your food has been, the more it will benefit you. 

I made these kale chips on a whim. My kale was just about to go bad and I was wanting a snack. Boom! Kale chips! They are super easy to make and they turned out delicious. The best part is that you can play around with the seasonings that you add to create the flavor you desire.

Kale Chips

Preheat the oven to 300°F

Chop kale into strips (remember it will shrink in the oven)

Add 2 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil or coconut oil

Spread the kale on  baking sheet with parchment paper

Add pink himalayan sea salt, and nutritional yeast (the amount is up to you) or swap out for other seasonings such as cayenne pepper, cumin, or garlic powder

Place the kale in the oven for 10 to 15 minutes, or until crispy

Let sit until cool, and enjoy!
